Look it's not exactly a secret, except it is if my family somehow ever shows up here in which case it is a secret and you absolutely can not tell them, but in my world Persephone's my mother.

because I thought that was the secret. why does it have to be a secret if your family from your world shows up? wouldn't it just be weird but standard weird for this place?
Most of my relatives don't know that she's my mother. I didn't know why that was a big deal until I got here, but essentially the issue is her mother is very overprotective and has already engulfed the mortal world in a century long winter just because she doesn't know where Persephone is. It's likely that she would take the answer rather badly.
